Anti-Twin – freeware scours your computer for duplicate files to save space

Anti-Twin is one of those must-have freeware programs which helps you take control of your chaotic data storage by letting you scour your hard disk for duplicate files to delete. What makes it super excellent is the range of settings you can select to locate exactly what you want. For example you can compare folders, file names, file extensions and even files of exactly the same size down to a byte level!

The scan is very fast, and the results are clearly laid out for you to make a choice as to whether to delete or not. The program copes with duplicate images, MP3 and audio files, in fact any kind of file on a hard disk and you can export search results as an Excel file for processing later at your leisure. It’s a lovely program, and definitely a keeper.

Anti-Twin is a small software application which compares files, i.e. it searches for duplicate or similar files on your hard disk drive. All similar or identical files that were found can either be sent to the recycle bin or directly deleted. This will increase the hard disk space on your computer. Select the option “Compare file content” to compare the entire binary content of the files. This means that the file names are irrelevant. Here, the basic principle is: “Name is but sound and smoke – size matters! And never lose sight of the inner values.”
