Toshiba Smarbo aims to take on the Roomba

We’ve all heard of the floor cleaning robot called the Roomba. It has helped us to become as lazy as we had always hoped to be. But now, just when we were getting bored with such an old cleaning robot, the Toshiba Smarbo arrived on the scene!

This floor cleaning rival to the Roomba has two CPUs, 38 sensors, and can clean a 100sqm room in about 90 minutes. The price for this mega maid is a little astonishing at $1,175, but that also covers the remote and docking station that comes with it. Although that price is a little staggering, the Smarbo is programmable to make sure you don’t have to do any dirty work. You can find this Roomba rival hitting stores on October 1st. It would be much cooler if the Smarbo turned out to be an Autobot, and the Roomba was a Decepticon and this new robot was trying to save the human race. But even if it just cleans floors, that would still be pretty swell.
