Temper is a freeware MIDI audio sequencer with smarts [Daily Freeware]

Got dreams of grabbing some fame and fortune as a rock god? Fancy yourself with the art of song writing, but a little stretched for cash at the moment? Well maybe you need to check out the Temper freeware audio sequencer for Windows. This full blown audio suite offers piano roll MIDI editing, multi-track mixing, and VST compatibility.

If the above means nothing to you at all, then maybe you’re better off using something else, but if you’re willing to buckle down and read the manual and learn about the power of quantizing, sound shaping and the rest, you may find you actually enjoy the experience of digital music creation with this type of powerful tool.

As well as MIDI, the suite also records audio and gives you full control of the FX stack for making your sound as good as possible. Not the easiest interface in the world, but worth checking out. Free for private use.

  • The second image shows Reaper…a different software. Seems like a bit of a sham.
