Wonderbowl – microchip activated pet feeder locks the local hobos out

You’ve got a pet, it eats. You have a food bowl, it feeds. But what happens if you also happen to have other greedy pets, or neighborhood animals which think nothing of popping in uninvited to snack on your household pet chow. Problems that’s what.

But fret no longer hassled pet owner, because the Wonderbowl Microchip Activated Pet Feeder is here. This astounding science product only opens when it detects the right microchip tag attached to a collar, which means you can ensure that only Fido gets his chow, and not Fifi. The lid closes when the animal walks away to prevent tailgate feeding, and you can have multiple tags for different animals all feeding one bowl (in case you’re just keeping out the local tramps).

The product actually houses a removable stainless steel inner bowl for easy washing, and the owner can flick a switch to open and close the thing for refilling and maintenance. The feeder is powered by 3 D batteries and costs $79.95.
