FlappyCoin – the new crypto currency modeled after a defunct game…wait wat…?

You know there’s something a bit weird going on when it seems OK to start creating currencies based on a video game. Of course it’s all part of this new Bitcoin ‘revolution’, but even so it’s getting crazier by the minute.

The latest offering is FlappyCoin, which is based on the stupidest game ever invented, which netted its creator an absolute fortune before he shut the game down for some reason a month or so back. FlappyBird was awful in a terribly great way, and we suspect these crypto-coin currencies are going to end up the same way.

Luckily the huge majority of the real – as opposed to online – world doesn’t give a fig for currencies or birds (unless they’re angry), so the only real question is how long will it take before this stuff either takes off and changes the world or crashes into total oblivion? Hmmm…!

  • I just found out about flappycoin a few days ago on the doge forum. FLAPpy people are very friendly, the game will be back soon, the coin is only a month old and still really cheap. You should cheek it out!
