There’s no doubt that Sega produce some of the most engaging games around, and now they’re moving properly onto the mobile device, things are getting interesting. Even more so now they’ve started releasing free versions of their games.
Sega Virtua Tennis Challenge is one of the most popular tennis games in the known universe, and the company has now released a free version onto the Google Play store. It’s not the full game unfortunately (unlike Crazy Taxi which they recently released for free for a short time), but it does give you a set of training drills and a single match to enjoy.
The gameplay is excellent, as are the graphics, which you’d expect because this is a proper tennis game. But it’s the overall effect that’s so cool, with great sound effects complementing the whole package to make it all really engrossing. It’s when you play games like this that you appreciate the effort some of the old time classic game companies put into their titles.
The full game costs a serious $4.99 (£2.99), but if you’re a real sports gamer you’ll definitely put this on your list after trying out this free version.
