Mota Smartring – one ring to rule them all

Mota Smartring

Wearables are the way of the future according to something like 95% of science fiction. They can monitor your fitness levels or just relay information (like the latest tweets) to you. Handy if you want to stay connected. The Mota Smartring is in the latter category.

The Mota pairs up with any Bluetooth enabled mobile device, so tablet, smartphone, whatever. It works with both Android and iOS devices You’ll be able to choose what types of updates you receive. So if you’re only wearing it to keep track of your chaotic email inbox you don’t have to deal with tweets from your network or vice versa.

The Mota is also designed to be a bit tough. It’s on your hand and your hands do take a beating. It comes in black or white and is shock resistant as well as waterproof. So if you forget to take this off when washing your hands, not the end of the world. The notifications are subtle so it won’t feel like the ring is trying to take your finger off. The Mota Smartring is currently on preorder for $99.99 and will be available in June.
