Leap Motion – lose the mouse, gets more hands on with your computer

Leap Motion

Using a mouse is so 2014. Now it’s time move on into the world of hands free control of your computer. No more tangled wires. The Leap Motion allows you to use your computer without the use of a mouse.

The Leap senses how you use your hands and uses that data to give your free movement in the digital world. You can use a variety of different gestures in order to interact with your computer. It’s like you’re in a 90s hacker movie. You can use this to just handle normal things like reading the web or you can jump into more creative ventures like 3D rendering and drawing. The Leap basically just takes the place of a normal mouse.

The motion pad is very small and works with your Mac or PC with no special adaptors. It’s a plug and play item. And you can play with it. There are a variety of apps that you can use in conjunction with the motion controller. Some are free, some are paid. The Leap Motion itself is $79.99.
