Duck Duck Go – search anonymously

I google a lot of weird things. Because I’m a writer and that’s the sort of thing writers do. Maybe you google weird things too and don’t want google to track everything you search for. Try Duck Duck Go, the search engine that cares about your privacy.

This search engine collects no personal information and just shows you what you searched for. It doesn’t have the robust categories that Google or Bing (I guess) have but it does give you the basic web, image, and video options.

This is a great option if you’re a writer, have one off weird questions, or just really care about your search privacy. It’s just a search engine, no frills or anything extra. You can give it a whirl on the website, no commitment necessary.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.

  • Been using it for years. Great engine!

    • Thanks for the review!

  • I log into incognito mode when I need to search secretly.

    • unfortunately incognito mode isn’t enough, there are many many ways to track and uniquely identify the machine of a user that one can’t even imagine!
