Apple Ends Support for Old Devices – affected by this?

All good tech comes to an end because we live in a capitalist society that wants us to buy more but lets keep this light! If you use the iTunes Store, Apple has announced that older computers and first gen Apple TVs will no longer be able to access the marketplace. Bummer.

Computers running Windows XP or Vista (who is out there using Vista still?) as well as the first generation Apple TV, which are around 11 years old now, will no longer be able to access iTunes due to security issues. Apple can no longer support devices that fall under this umbrella.

The changes take place on May 25 so that leaves users with plenty of time to upgrade their devices to something new. If you’re running XP or Vista it’s past time to let those go as not even Microsoft is supporting those operating systems any longer. You can check out the full announcement on the Apple website.
