Recycled Puffer Jacket – check out this coat made from bottles

It’s getting cold out there so you may be looking for a new winter coat. How about this totally vegan puffer jacket made from recycled materials given to us by Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA. Rap music may not be what you think of when you think of saving the planet but here we are.

The jacket was made in partnership between the rapper’s lifestyle company and Embassy of Bricks as well as PETA. PETA is a very questionable company and a portion of profits goes towards supporting them. Even so, this jacket was very interesting development especially given the issues surrounding the wastefulness in fashion manufacturing.

The puffer part of the jacket is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles that have been salvaged from the ocean. This jacket is very expensive at over $300 but it would be wonderful to see more accessible clothing made in the same way.
