Line Speed Meter – measure your Internet speed properly

Linespeedmeter

Line Speed Meter. OK, so if you’re really serious about finding out just how fast your Internet connection is, you’ll need to download and install this bit of Windows freeware. Unlike the common or garden online testers, LSM sits in your task bar running tests at regular intervals (default 12 per day). The result is a set of test results which over time give an accurate picture of your speeds. None of this test once and you’re lucky kind of thing. I’m going to use it alongside DrTCP and see what can be improved.

Run the Line Speed Meter to accurately measure both the upload and download speed of your Internet connection. You will be provided with a detailed speed analysis and technology comparison. The more tests you run, the better the data and the better the picture you have of your own Internet connection.
