Add More Insects To Your Garden – some easy suggestions to attract bugs

Bugs have generally not been something that people want but the Earth needs them for a variety of reason and with the loss of green spaces and more pesticides, we’re losing these six and more legged creatures. You can help give them a home with some tweaks to your own garden.

Different bugs like different things. If you want more beetles and the like then add more dense vegetation to your plans but keep some space open for other types of bugs, like spiders, who like a bit of breathing room.

Plant a wide variety of species, go wild! But try to stick to native and local plants to attract native bug life with the familiar as well as support the local flora. And it probably goes without saying but try to avoid pesticides when you can. Make next year’s garden a bug friendly playground of green!
