Ancient fecal matter proves climate change is serious business

Many of us might play with the notion that climate change is a new phenomenon, but such is not the case at all. It happened in the past, and if the latest findings are true, then climate change could have been the destruction of an entire civilization.

Researchers recently released a new study showing that fecal data linked to Cahokia, one of the most important agricultural sites in North America, gave clues that explained serious flood events and declining precipitation may have impacted pre-European civilization.

The city in question is located outside of modern-day St Louis, but no name was given since scientists had no records to go by.

This should be proof enough for anyone who might still be wondering if climate change can cause the destruction of our species or at least a partial destruction. Folks in the past had no idea what was happening or how to stop it, we have way more tools and information today and hopefully we can avoid the same fate.
