Cities have a lot emissions and often get the fingers pointed at them for causing too much pollution but is that really the case? This article breaks down emissions between cities and large towns and as it turns out, the cities aren’t doing so bad.

The reasons for this are many. Cities have less industries that produce toxic chemicals and people don’t have to travel as much, even if they are using their own cars but of course, urban areas have more access to public transportation.

Cities are also cutting emissions much faster than their rural counterparts, probably because they’re under a bit of a microscope about it but also likely due to having more money to enact carbon cutting measures. There’s plenty more to be done but as it stands, cities aren’t so bad.
