Well color us surprised, we didn’t realize there’s a business to be made in helping people gain honors (or honours in the UK) for your business or person. But there is. For those who don’t know the game, every year people and companies are nominated for some honor or another in the UK, whether it’s an accolade for your company or a personal gift from the Queen or the politicians in power. But we bet you didn’t know it was possible to game the system, did you? We didn’t, but we do now.
The Awards Intelligence organization, run by the suitably double barreled ex PR bod Mark Llewelyn-Slade, promises to increase your chances of success by 400%, mainly by raising your profile, enhancing your reputation and basically using all their PR skills to gain you the recognition you deserve. How marvelous.
The company also offers a rather spiffing VIP Brand Building Programme which, as the name implies, will deliver a bespoke plan to drive your company and you to the absolute heights of public esteem and ‘ensure you get noticed by senior decision makers, the media and specific target audiences.’ Be still my beating heart.
Personally we’re gunning for the full monty, a knighthood from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen of England. We’re pretty sure this is attainable because of the amazing work we’ve done over the years with the local cheese packing charity Cheddarific, which has been distributing dairy products to homeless mice for over a decade now. It’s a shoe-in.
