Bike 2.0 – new Korean concept electric bike shows cool future

This Bike 2.0 electric bicycle concept from South Korea is very slick. Battery in the seatpost, stepless gears, motor in the rear wheel. Plus some kind of ‘superconductor’ tech which helps with pedalling and doesn’t need a battery. All good stuff, now produce it for a reasonable price please.

Bike 2.0 the next generation bicycle, will give you more fun with energy boosts when you are cruising around. It makes you daily ride more comfortable with energy leveling and the stepless gearbox. You can even add the seat-tube battery and get there faster. Bike 2.0 has a generator and wires instead of a chain, so you will never get oily pants or fingers from the chain again.

  • Dude,

It may have been a Korean design competition but right in your like it says in the caption:

“name of design : bike 2.0
design by : nils sveje + Design: Inoda Sveje design studio + Technology: IPU Produktudvikling from italy”

  • Beautiful…. and yet completely impractical as a realistic commuter bike. The designers seem to have ignored those basic features and functions that are essential in the "real world" in order to create a pretty image for the press :-(

  • I agree with Mystech – it reminds me of all the gorgous "Concept Cars" we see and desire. The production versions are always a pale shade of the mock-up. The devil is in the detail – once this thing has a useable sized battery, mudguards, a bell, brake levers, lights, reflector strips, a pannier and all that stuff you need in real life, it'll look like all the rest out there. Ho hum.

    • oh noes, don't be cynical, surely one day they'll produce something that stays looking stunning? :)
