Blink(1) is a USB RGB LED that will give your computer a light show

If you’re on your computer a lot, you’re probably subscribed to a bunch of different websites. Twitter, Facebook, and many others are going to try to send you notifications all at once, but sometimes these updates get missed while browsing around another site, or getting distracted on YouTube. You could always download a program to let you know whenever you get mentioned or messaged, but then you’ll have boxes popping up everywhere, getting in the way of what you’re doing at the moment.

Blink(1) is a great way to keep in the loop without having to have every site you’re a part of in an open tab. This is a tiny USB stick with LEDs that you can program to let you know when something is going on. Whether you want to have it flash red when there’s an error on your computer, blue for when you’re tweeted at, or any color of the rainbow to let you know you have an email, it’s all up to you. It can either blink once to let you know something is up, flash repeatedly, or even bob along to music. This will take no programming skill on your end as ThingM already has a bunch of applications that you can navigate through. Blink(1) is an open source project though, so you can really turn it into whatever you’d like. This will cost you about $30.
