The doorbell in my house is one of the more effective ones that I’ve had over the years. I have an odd sleeping schedule, so if someone stops by in the morning, there’s a good chance I’m going to be asleep. Thus, a loud doorbell is a good doorbell. If you’re more interested in the actual sounds it makes, you might want to take a look at this Campanello project.
The Campanello project is a custom doorbell that is made from from a set of children’s resonator bells. With eight in total, you can program it to play virtually any song when the button is pressed. It is a DIY project, so you’ll need to follow this guide for a complete set of instructions. You’ll find everything you need, right down the the code used to program the microcontroller.
