Voxel Farm – a photorealistic Minecraft game anyone?

Minecraft lovers out there, and we know there are *lots* of you, may be interested to learn that Canadian Miguel Cepero appears to be building what looks like an almost photorealistic derivation of Minecraft, but ‘without zombies’. The project, which seems to be going under the title of Procedural World, is clearly a pet love of his, judging by his blog posts, but we’ve got to say the early video run throughs look amazing.

Tackk – the easiest web noticeboard in the known universe?

The web is changing all right, and one way you can tell is by looking at the new tools coming down the pipe. Instead of heavy clunky web design programs and services, we’re seeing a definite rise in the number of quick and easy tools to create online content. At one end you’ve got the elegant and iconic Pinterest, and at the other you have tools like Tumblr. But that still leaves a gap to fill.

We love writing with a passion, really we do. But even with massive amounts of motivation, some days it’s plain impossible to put anything down. The words just don’t come. The know it alls call this writer’s block, we call it a royal pain in the derriere. Whatever the cause it’s something that can really drive you nuts, made especially worse when you allow yourself to waste time on something else instead of knuckling down.
