Climate Change Will Destroy Landmarks – changing weather and heat will make our world unrecognizable

Climate change is a danger not to just the future but also our past as well. The extreme weather and temperature changes can become a danger to various historic sites around the world. In some cases, completely destroy them.

The flooding in Venice, most likely caused by climate change, made a splash (ha) this week but they’re not the only site that is in danger. Historic cities, forests, and ruins are all susceptible to the devastating effects of climate change. They won’t all disappear due to floods but climate change has a ton of other negative consequences.

A rise in sea levels could wipe some places off the map, lack of snow and more forest fires will change natural spaces to be unrecognizable, change in temperature will kill some natural features. The list goes on and on. In order to preserve them, we have to turn the clock back on the climate.
