Combimouse wants to change the way you work and play

While the peripherals you use for your PC might have changed over the years, there hasn’t really been anything that will “wow” you. There may be new shiny things that have faster DPI settings or backlit keys, but if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. The keyboard and mouse are very separate items, but can you imagine a world where they were combined?

The Combimouse takes a keyboard, splits it in half, and turns the right half into a functioning mouse. This has been in the works for some time, but they’ve been waiting for some technology to catch up to make it feasible to create and use. Whenever you grip the right portion, a sensor will let it know that it needs to switch to “mouse mode” and some of the keys will become your right and left mouse buttons. While this is certainly bringing new life to the world of peripherals, it’s sadly only in a crowdsourcing phase. Not only that, but this first campaign is only for research, and then would be followed up with another one to head towards manufacturing. They’ll probably cost around $110+ should they make it to the market.
