Laptop screens can be very difficult to see when used outdoors or in brightly lit rooms. The CompuShade laptop hood solves this problem by dramatically reducing glare. The shade is easy to attach with the included adhesive-backed hook-and-loop fastener strips. It is designed to fit notebooks between 8 3/4″ – 16 1/4″ wide and folds flat on the back of your laptop for travel.
Notebook display is fine but the real need is to block the ambient light from PDAs and cameras so the screens can be read outdoors.
This isn’t exactly a new concept, I bought something similar a while ago. It has worked fairly well when I’ve needed it to and seems to have better construction than the above. But since I don’t own both products, I can’t say for sure.
