Cool-er eBook Reader – expandable eBook reader adds colour to svelte design

Question: What’s ‘wafer thin’, comes in a range of eight ‘snazzy’ colours and saves your back? Answer: A Cool-er eBook Reader. This svelte device features a 6 inch e-ink screen, 1GB of memory expandable via SD cards and a battery which will last for around 8000 pages of readables. Which is more than enough to view the autobiography of Napoleon’s hairdresser. For some strange reason it also looks startlingly similar to a well know brand of music player, goodness knows why. Sure saves lugging around 800 books though. £199.95.

It’s not all about the written word though, because this unputdownable little gadget also plays MP3s, so you can listen as you read. Hmmm… Dostoyevsky and Lady Gaga. Indeed it’s a proper format muncher and is compatible with several file types including PDF, EPUB, FB2, RTF, TXT, HTML, PRC and JPG. It’s even multi-lingual and can be used in eight different languages. Wunderbar!

  • No Wireless, but then unlike the Kindle Fahrenheit 451, it won't burn your books in the middle of the night!

BTW battery charge life is extended just because of the lack of wireless which is a power hog.
