When going to bed, it is common practice to start charging your phone right before you doze off. It would be beneficial to plug it in before you lay in bed and turn off the lights, but then you wouldn’t be able to respond to those last few text messages and emails. As soon as you grab the cable and lock the screen on your phone, your eyes start adjusting to the darkness, and you realize you don’t know what part of the plug in is up.
Scrap Pile Labs has been plagued with this annoyance far too many times as well, and have thankfully come up with a solution. The CordLite is a charger cable that has a couple of LEDs that will guide your plug to its destination. Its light only turns on when you grab it, and it will only shine around the plug, saving your eyes from a rude awakening. This Kickstarter has a little over a month before its expiration, and is already over half way there. I do believe that means that they’re doing something right. If you would like one of these for your very own, you’ll have to pay $45. Just keep in mind that this won’t be very useful to you if you don’t have an iPhone.
