Creative film.

Fabulous. The Creative Commons concept comes to movies via 4th Wall Films.

‘I’m releasing this film under a Creative Commons license for a number of reasons, many of them purely practical. I don’t have a lot of money, I can’t distribute it myself, and even sending out VHS copies to people who’ve heard about it sets me back the cost of the tapes and mailing fees.

So part of me wants the movie to be self-distributed, the way you lend CD’s of a band you really like to friends just because you want to share it. If you like the movie, burn it to DVD and share it with your friends. And if you really, really like it, you can leave something in my tip jar, although you don’t have to.’
