Criterion Collection abandons Nexflix for Hulu Plus

When Hulu first came out and started offering to stream new TV shows shortly after they were aired, people really started paying attention. It was when they introduced their subscription-based Hulu Plus that we all collectively shook our heads and waited for the end. Until now, there hasn’t been a lot to entice me to pay for their services. If I’m going to pay for streaming video, my money is going to Netflix, which offers a lot more.

If you’re interested in the 800 movies in the Criterion Collection, there’s only one place that you’re going to find them. That’s right, Hulu Plus. They have been available on Netflix for a while, but due to the fact that you can’t easily search for the collection, the people at Criterion have decided to switch services. There are currently 150 films available on Hulu Plus, with the rest becoming available over the next few months.
