Cynaps Mint – the headset that channels sound through bone

Cynaps in use

Having earphones in is the universal sign of “I’m not listening to you” but sometimes, like when you’re riding your bike on a crowded street, headphones can be a hazard. The Cynaps Mint is a headset that conducts sound through bone so your ears can be free to listen for outside sound.

The Cynaps Mint is a headset that allows you to play music or take calls without blocking your ears. Instead, through vibration, it uses your bones to conduct the sound. It seems very sci-fi. In fact, I’m almost positive I watched a movie where they used similar technology. It hooks up to devices via Bluetooth which makes this even more safe as there are very few cords to get tangled in anything.

The Cynaps is designed to work in conjunction with a hat. Any hat. In fact the word ‘hat ‘is being used loosely here as a term for headgear. It can also be used as a standalone speaker system. Just stick them to a glass pane, a truck grill, or any number of places and let the jams take over. The Cynaps Mint Full Kit is $79 and can be purchased through their Indiegogo for a few more days.
