Digital Video Memo – the fridge magnet that thinks it’s a DVR

Digitalvideomemofridgemagnet

This Digital Video Memo, sticks magnetically to the fridge door and provides record and store memo functionality for communicating with busy family members. You get 30 seconds of video per recording, and the 1.5 inch LED screen is surprisingly usable. Just press a button to start recording, and another to playback.

Two things make it less than ideal. First you can only store one message at a time (subsequent messages overwrite the first) and further, the thing has an auto shut off to save (USB rechargeable) battery life, which means you have to push to power it on before recording, which could be a button too many for some people. But hey, it’s £29.99, so who’s going to quibble?

“Honey, your dinner’s in the dog. Get more eggs.”

The Digital Video Memo takes that bold leap into the future and gives you a fridge magnet that you can record a 30 second video message on. Just look into the camera, press the record button and leave whatever message you want. It’s designed to be as simple as possible so it only records one message at a time to avoid confusion. Let the kids know where you’ve hidden their dinner on the 1.5 inch LED screen, remind the other half to take the dog for a walk or just tell your wife that you love her…
