Do I Have MHL – instant check to see if your phone supports this cool tech

One of the lesser known technologies that are available for smartphones is the MHL standard, which stands for Mobile High Definition Link. This is the clever tech which lets you plug your phone into a TV using the handset’s standard microUSB port, and get gorgeous images at high def on the big screen. The thing is, not all phones support this, especially at the cheaper end of the market.

So how do you find out whether your phone does support it? Without having to spend money on buying the right kind of adapter? Well you might try this Do I Have MHL page, which gives you a nice easy barcode method. Just use your phone’s camera to snap the barcode and the site will instantly tell you whether you’re in luck or not.

It’s all part of the free service offered by the MHL Consortium to help people get the most of this connected technology. The site also features a nice large database of members who are supplying MHL products, so you can do a manual check of your product/brand if barcodes are not your thing. Definitely worth a bookmark.
