Docracy – DIY contracts and legal documents

Docracy sample

People are working for themselves a lot more these days or hiring independent people to do jobs for them. If the honor system doesn’t seem like something you want to have faith in but you aren’t great at writing contracts, there’s a site for that. Docracy is a great resource for contracts and other legal documents.

Not everyone has the cash to spend on a lawyer to draw up important documents in their lives. This site is perfect for helping creatives and independent contractors create documents that spell out what they’re hired for and the terms of the agreement. In other words, a contract. The site includes sample contracts that you can alter to meet your needs.

You can download and edit a document to suit your needs. You can also use the site to have whoever you’re working with electronically sign it right on the website where they will be stored securely. There are more than just contracts however. There are many legal documents, including wills and power of attorney that people can use in their own lives. The website is free.
