DryBath – what if you could take a nice smelling bath anywhere, anytime… ?

We take it for granted, but water is not universally available to all. Even where there are loads of running water taps, there are situations where it may not be possible or feasible to use a lot of it in doing something like taking a bath. Which is where this clever product comes into play.

DryBath, as the name suggests, is a gel formula which cleans your body without water, and leaves you odor free and gorgeous. Well maybe not the last part. The product is the brainchild of South African student Ludwick Marishane, and actually was the subject of a TED talk when launched (see video below).

The young entrepreneur promotes the gel as perfect for situations like camping, music festivals, public or shared toilets or showers or where there are water shortages for some reason. We can also see it being useful for places like train, plane or bus toilets where there’s not much space on long journeys and you need to de-grime urgently.

The product comes in handy little sachets, one per ‘wash’, and you can also pick it up in bottles. Every order for the product will result in an aid contribution by the company, so you’re also doing a good deed as well as smelling nicer. Double win, eh? The product is priced at around $3 a bath, which is probably good value, depending on how smelly you actually are.
