Duo Pop lets you play buzzer trivia games on your iPad

The iPad is a most marvelous tool for several different things. Whether it be writing, reading, drawing, or playing games, you can do just about anything. With the Duo Pop and Duo Plink, you can now branch out and play with friends instead of using your iPad as an individual device. Although they vary in their types of gameplay, they can bring you and three of your friends together in battles of wit and knowledge.

The Duo Pop is essentially a buzzer game setup, with three corresponding apps to go with it. You can play Guesstimation, Highlights Hidden Pictures Countdown, and Saturday Night Live The Game, which focuses mainly on the line-ups from the 90s. The Duo Pop comes with four buzzers and a receiver, which is in similar style to most game shows. The Duo Plink on the other hand, it a token based setup where you plink tokens into a container, which the device will keep track of for you. There are only two apps that coincide with this version- The Smithsonian Artifact or Fiction App and Yoomi. The Duo Pop runs for $40, while the Duo Plink is $30. Any apps that you want though are going to cost you an additional $2.99. It looks like a great idea, you’ll just have to remember to keep your iPad charged for those marathon gaming sessions.
