DVB-T to SCART Receiver – Compact TV reception

Image

I’m not sure if SCART connectors took off anywhere except in Europe but they’re still floating around on older TVs I’m sure. This DVB-T to SCART Receiver lets you receive DVB-T broadcasts straight into your telly without the need for a big, clunky external decoder box. Just plug in your aerial (it also has an aerial pass through) and it will spit out either Composite+RGB or Composite+S Video via the SCART Connector in 4:3 or 16:9 and in either PAL or NTSC formats.

There’s a built-in electronic program guide and you can record TV by connecting the box to an SD card reader (max 16GB) via its built-in mini USB port . It comes with a remote control and the IR receiver is attached to a cable so the TV receiver can stay hidden around the back. Tell you what though, you’ll have trouble beating the price, it’s around US$23.

This DVB-T receiver comes with a simple to use internal menu interface that makes it easy and simple for the end user to navigate through the menu options using the remote control. Straight from the box, you will be able to plug the SCART DVB-T receiver to the back of your TV, insert the (Infrared) IR Lead to the device, plug in your digital antenna on to the DVB-T receive, then grab the remote, sit back and enjoy.

    • Thanks Ian, updated.
The bizarre bit is, the main product blurb says it can. Nothing like consistency is there?
