Elecom TK-MBDD041 is a keyboard for your phone that is also a bluetooth headset

It seems that the era of of cell phones that have physical keypads have gone out of style. Everyone wants to have, or already has I should say, a touchscreen phone that has a glass face. The biggest downside to this is that your phone is very fragile, and one fall may make it unusable.

Elecom is trying to think of peripherals that will make using your mobile device much safer and easier to use. This is why they have invented the Elecom TK-MBDD041, which not only has a physical keyboard, but also acts as a bluetooth handset. You have caller ID on the small built-in display, and you can pair it with either Android or iOS devices. Priced at $230, this feels a little more than redundant. It was made so that the theft of a peripheral wouldn’t be as hazardous to your bank account as losing your actual phone, but at that price it wouldn’t do you much good. It seems like it would just be one more thing for you to carry and keep charged throughout the day. It is only available in Japan at the moment.
