Way back in 2003, before some of you were even born, we featured the mind-boggling conceptual electric car called Eliica, brainchild of a mammoth $4m research project from Keio University in Japan. We’re now happy to report that the Eliica lives. We’re talking 8 wheel electric drive, 160 km/h top speed and absolutely bristling with hi-tech goodies. Just perfect for a credit crunch environment. Video (in Japanese). No word on production dates (hah!) though.
