eRepublik – play a virtual world and escape from this one

eRepublik is an online virtual world game created in Ireland. Once you join up you’ll be able to topple governments, earn money, spend money, eat, laugh, chat and otherwise squander what little time you have left gazing at a screen instead of fighting for a better world outside in the sunshine. Makes perfect sense to us.

The game, called eRepublik, is set in a mirror world where players, referred to as citizens, join in local and national politics, set economic policy, start businesses and wage wars with other countries. With more than 35,000 active daily “citizens” playing the beta version of eRepublik, this new release delivers an improved war module that lets citizens stage resistance wars and more sophisticated political and economic systems that include the management of natural resources. Version 1.0 is immediately available free of charge with no software to download.

  • Great idea, bad implementation.

Game bugs, game team ignorance, server hacks,… all that is enough not to pay for their in game add-ons and not to play game any more.

Really disappointed after 6 months of play and huge promises from admins how they will repair and control the game mechanics. Big words, no implementations!
