The Eyewitness Camera. A $199.95 in-car recorder for those awkward little moments. Could have done with one of these puppies last month when some dufus in a van thumped into the front of my very bright red moto-car. ‘Did you not see me?’, I asked. Blank stare. Tsk.

EyewitnessCamera.com products are there to help people get a fair deal in the unfortunate event that you are involved in a vehicular accident that is not your fault. As these cameras become widespread, fellow motorists will become aware that their journeys may be recorded by thereby causing them to think twice about road rage, recklessness, drunk-driving etc and insurance companies will begin to see claims drop which means cheaper insurance for everyone.

  • I just got one of these, “puppies”. Seems to do the job well even though you have to start and stop recording manualy. I’ll give 8 out of 10. (I almost can’t wait for an accident.)

  • Start manually? Er…doesn’t that kind of defeat the object Tony? I mean accidents happen, um, spontaneously don’t they? Hmm….methinks I’m going to have to mark this down 10 points for uselessnecity then. :-)

  • You start the recorder at the beginning of your journy and stop recording when you arrive. Works for me :)

  • Ah apologies. Thought you meant you started it at the beginning of your accident and stopped it after the glass had stopped tinkling. :-) Soz.

  • Yes, video footage after the fact would be quite pointless :)

  • Cool! I needed this last summer after a little scrape with a guy who tried to run me off the road.
