Fish Observatory – show your fish a whole new world

Fish Observatory in use

You ever wonder if fish think about the world above their pool? Like, what do trees look like when you can see them straight on? Or people? What is it like up there? Well, if you’re the type that wants to make sure your outdoor fish have a life full of experiences, check out the Fish Observatory.

It is a glass attachment that puts a sort of fish tank above your koi pond so that they can swim up into it as they see fit as well as leave it when they’re bored. Or you throw food out or whatever it is that makes fish decide to go where they go.

Really, this is just a nice way to let you enjoy your fish from a side view rather than just a top down look. It floats independently and does not involve any complex installation to work. If you have an outdoor pond that you want to spice up, then check out this cool attachment. The Fish Observatory is $185.

  • This is a brilliant idea I hadn’t thought of yet :-) but you sure don’t have to pay $185 for it. Just turn any small aquarium upside-down then attach a substantial styrofoam float to it (as shown). Fill it by submerging it, flip it, and let it float. Voila! Fish condo, for less than $30!
