Flawk – this Twitter integrated instant Q & A chat service is going to be huge

There’s no doubt that Twitter has changed the way people, celebrities and brands interact with their fans, but Tweets are not exactly the most engaging way to hold a proper conversation, even if they’re great for connecting with your whole fan base. But now a brand new service promises to add some instant sizzle to the procedure, and it’s great.

Flawk is a superbly engineered instant chat system which sits alongside Twitter. What makes it great is the fact that brands, people and artists can use it to do all sorts of Q&As (like Reddit’s AMA sessions) with their whole social media fan base in seconds, no fuss no muss.

The key section is the chat area, which is called a flawk session. The whole process is controlled by the owner of the account, so they can show videos or play music to the whole group of chatters, and pick the answers they want to respond to. The users can also vote up questions they want to see answered, so there’s some crowd power involved.

Watch the video below to get an idea of how to set up a Flawk Q&A session, but basically you just give it a name and description, and promote it to your crowd on Twitter and/or Facebook. Then you sit back and wait for the questions to come in. You can chat with individuals to answer their questions specifically, or chat to the whole group to answer a question, and every speech bubble has an option to be sent to Facebook or Twitter manually (so no spam here, thank goodness).

The user interface is elegantly designed in that it takes just seconds to become familiar with the process, and it’s so easy to set up and use that we can’t see why it shouldn’t become a vital tool in almost any major name’s armory. Right now there’s no way to save a chat history of a flawk session, but they’re working on it, and of course it’s still version 1, so there will likely be a few things that need tweaking.

But from where we’re sitting this is a doozy of an application, and if you’re at all interested in connecting with any kind of user or fan base, this is a tool you should absolutely definitely put on your list. Especially if you’ve got a large following on any of the social networks. Superb!
