Those clever folks at the German Fraunhofer Institute claim to have developed technology to speed up or slow down music without messing with the pitch.
The result is StepMan, a set of sensors which work with a standard PDA or WalkMan to monitor a jogger’s pulse, blood pressure and speed. Some clever software then adjusts the music to suit the jogger’s tempo. Neat eh?
