Ginger Page – so you want to write good English? [Freeware]

ginger

English is a pretty popular language nowadays, even though it’s not the easiest to learn. Too many weird words – dear, deer, die, dye, their, there – to name but a few, as well as all that tricky grammar stuff. But now you can use a new free bit of software to help make things easier.

Ginger Page runs on Android, iPhone and PCs, and is billed as an ‘English writing enhancement app‘. Once downloaded and installed, it basically sits there in the background checking your use of English in your apps and programs (including things like Microsoft Word) to give corrections and suggestions as needed.

Yes, we know you can find this kind of tool everywhere (even in the default Microsoft Word grammar checker), but what makes Ginger Page different is the fact that it runs inside all sorts of conventional apps, like your web browser, and other writing apps that you may use. The software also offers text to speech, and translation between 40 different languages if you’re in the foreign communications game. Downloads below.
