Google launches eBookstore

It’s hard to remember a time when Google didn’t have their hands in almost every aspect of the technology world. The company is evolving every bit as much as the world around them. So what is the latest area that the search giant has decided to take on? eBooks.

Google actually seems to be a bit behind the curve on this one, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that their new eBook store is inferior by any means. The Google eBookstore has officially launched with a whopping 3 million books currently available, which is more than any other offers. What’s more, is that when you purchase an eBook, you’ll be able to read it on virtually any device, so long as it has an internet browser.

Don’t fear though, if you don’t have a permanent internet connection to your device of choice, you’ll be able to take the books offline as well. iOS and Android devices already have dedicated apps ready for download. To take things another step further, you can also download each book as a PDF or ePub document, to ensure that almost every reader on the market will work. I think I know where I’ll be buying my next eBook.
