Google Recycled Mini Wireless Mouse – not just blue and red, but green too…

Google Recycled Mini Wireless Mouse. You’ve got to hand it to the big G., they certainly seem to walk the walk as well as talk it. These cute little wireless mini meeces have a WiFi dongle safely stored on-board, feature an 800dpi resolution and are made of recycled plastic, so you can think green while using the blue. Or red. Hey, even the packaging is recycled. Move along, folks, there’s no evil being done here. $19.20.

The lightweight wireless optical mouse is portable enough to go anywhere and has a WIFI dongle stored inside for easy USB connectivity to your notebook computer. Built out of recycled plastic, this earth-friendly Google mouse comes in two familiar colors (blue & red) and uses a scroll wheel with 800 Dpi resolution for optimal speed. The packaging is also made from recycled materials. Accessories include two AAA batteries and instruction manual.

  • Recycling plastic= Green. Using alkaline batteries when you could easily make it rechargeable= Not so green. Your getting closer Google! (I’m still going to buy one though)

  • Who says you have to use alkaline? Rechargeables are just as cheap, I haven’t used a disposable battery in ten years.

Maybe when I started they were more expensive, but even in the short term they save money. If you can afford a laptop and thus the need for this little mouse, you can afford rechargeables.

put “allbattery” in google. There really is no excuse anymore.

  • The unbranded versions of these are on ebay uk at 7 quid inc postage – do i really want to pay extra just to advertise google ?

  • I'm having great trouble with my green one. It worked fine for the first week, and now it stops connecting to it's little wireless dongle half-way through use! The button doesn't do anything either, and the red light inside the mouse goes on and off…

I'm not sure of the problem. I was trying to find the original manufacturer, and see if anyone had a solution. I really like this mouse, and would love for it to work properly!

  • I got myself one during one of the gtug meets here in uganda kampala and it doesn't want in my ubuntu.
