The Scott eVest Milan. You’re kidding? You mean there’s now a geek gadget jacket that actually looks half reasonable? That can carry more electronics in its 41 hidden pockets and lining than Inspector (The Grand Master!) Gadget hi’self? No way. Way? Just don’t end up in the wrong part of town, OK? $450.00.
The jacket offers European styling in rich, chocolate brown leather. There is no exterior branding, other than subtle SeVs on the antique brass zipper pulls. The Milan showcases the 4.0 Line features, such as the Detachable Cargo Cache Plus (DCC+), change pockets, magnetic cuffs, magnetic pocket closures and battery holders, in an incredibly chic jacket. This lightweight jacket is very versatile–works in all but hot weather.
I have one of these (ie The Milan, not the suede one) and I like it a lot.
The decision to make the sleeves wider (like a sports-coat) makes this a walking-around-jacket, not a biker jacket.
I wouldn’t exactly say filling the pockets results in no bulges, but you can fit a nice amount of gear in one without looking ridiculous.
The magnetic closures do not erase credit cards or fry electronics, if anyone is wondering. The zippers are also not obvious – escaping the dreaded 80’s-style zipper-jacket problem.
Now if I could only remember _which_ pocket I put my cell-phone in, I could answer it. :-)
Nice feedback, I was actually wondering about the bulges issue. :-) With 41 pockets I was assuming that there would be *some*.
