Green Energy is Growing in Australia – but will it continue?

Green energy is doing VERY well in Australia! The country added 3.5 gigawatts of clean energy projects in 2018 and the output is expected to increase 36% this year alone. They’re well on their way to making their 2020 clean energy goals which is amazing! Hopefully this trend will continue once the incentives have dropped off.

The change to green energy is heavily supported by incentives which help drive business to the industry. Now that the goals have been met, the worry is that companies will have less of a reason to support clean energy. When this happens they may turn back to coal and other sources of power.

Despite the gains of the country, they still have more work to do in helping reach overall climate goals. This means that continued investment in companies that create green energy is a must.
