We can’t all be Banksy and wander around the street creating mind-blowing art, but that shouldn’t stop us trying. And lots do. There’s an Azerbaijani parking attendant, for example, who’s created quite a name for himself through his amazing artwork on grubby cars, so much so that people are now deliberately leaving their vehicles dirty to have his handiwork displayed on their car.
And let’s not even talk about the astonishing Scott Wade, who transforms horribly dirty car surfaces into beautiful works of art. Incredible. OK, so maybe you’re not up to that standard (if you are please let us know and we’ll feature you), but if you’ve got ambition you’ve got to start somewhere.
We recommend starting with something like this Grime Writer pen, which you fill with soapy water and use instead of a finger to craft your art on dirty and dusty surfaces. It’s a clever idea and one which should appeal to all well behaved graffiti wannabes everywhere. The fat market pen type format leaves lots of room for the imagination to take over. Priced at $12.95.
