Got a kid who doesn’t like brushing their teeth? Or maybe it’s just a friend of a friend (it’s OK we won’t tell). Whatever, the best way to encourage someone to do a boring thing is probably to offer them cash, or failing that give them a similar incentive which is fun and entertaining at the same time.
So give a big welcome to the soon to arrive GRUSH – the gaming toothbrush that’s designed to change the way you or your kids brush your teeth. Visualizing the way you clean can be much more fun than just moving the brush around your mouth like a robot.
The toothbrush itself comes with a motion sensor that connects to your smartphone, and you get a range of games to choose from when you start the cleaning session. You can use the brush as a monster hunter, conduct an orchestra or grow a pet over time. For the adults there’s also a range of phone tools they can use to monitor the child’s performance, timings, etc using a dashboard. All data can be uploaded to the cloud, and the OCD parents among you can even send it to your dentist. GRUSH is currently seeking funding on IndieGogo, but eventually should be available for $49 if things go well.
