GuitarConnect Pro lets you record your guitar sessions on your iOS device

If you’re a musician who likes to play when the mood strikes them, you might find it a bit difficult to record your inspirational riffs when you’re not near a computer. Sure, you can bust out a tape recorder, but it’s not going to do your music justice, especially if you’re strumming an electric guitar. Well, if you have an iOS device, why not record your music straight to it?

While it’s true that you’re not going to want to jack your guitar straight into your phone, this GuitarConnect Pro from Griffin is exactly what you need. It’s a simple little device that gives you a standard 1/4 mono jack and an iPod dock connector. Plug your guitar into one end and your phone/tablet into the other and start rocking. You can then record to GarageBand, or one of the many other audio mixing apps out there. At $80 it might be expensive, but if you have a lot of impromptu jam sessions, it might be worth it.
