The beauty of modern technology is that it gives us the ability to accomplish tasks with as little effort as possible. Bremster over at CTHackerspace had the exact same dilemma, and decided to fix it himself. Rather than buying an expensive set of blinds that automatically adjust, he used some RC car servos and a switch to get the job done. He even wired it up so that the power is drawn from a USB port on his computer.
